ETS
Moderator, If this is the wrong place please move it. I am looking for advanced training on Ford Powerstroke engines. Mainly 6.0 now because that is mostly what I see day to day. Are there any quality classes in Wv. Va. Pa. Oh. area? I am working in a smaller truck shop with limited referance material. This site has been a huge help but more is needed. PM me if needed. Thanks in advance, Mike
Keith Browning
Mike, you are one of several ambulance fleet techs that have joined us. I don't recall which ones of you were Ford dealer techs and if you were one of those members, but you can access many of the Ford web based training materials that Ford technicians are required to complete. I believe they are all about $90 each and you can access them at the Motorcraft Service website. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/r...p;menuIndex1=29 And I am proud to recommend our fellow DTS member and sponsor Bruce Amacker who owns Turbo Training. If you have enough technicians in your fleet it may be in your best interest to contact him directly here by sending him a PM or visit his website for more information - http://www.turbotraining.com
Bruce Amacker
Keith, thanks for the plug. Mike: I have a 300 page color book and 2 DVD training video to help you with advanced diagnostics on the 6.0. The website price is $249, I'll do it for you as a DTS member for $189. I guarantee you will be satisfied with them. See my feedback on Ebay, also. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...eedbackAsSeller Good Luck! dieseldoc
i highly highly reccomend getting bruces books and dvds. They are well worth the money. I would never be with out them. Reading through them and watching the dvds is great training. The books are great reference material. I keep them in my tool box and go to them often. I hope to be able to get to at least one of bruces public classes.
Jim Warman
In addition to the resources that Bruce can supply, don't overlook the value of the information contained in the "coffee table books" available HERE.
