Fredsvt
Price. For anyone without a Ford plan, over 40 large for a nicely set up one, well, is up there.

Fredsvt
awd/ecoboost pushes it to and over. I don't see many around here either. It's definitely different that all other suv/crossovers.
BrunoWilimek
I just dont understand why it the flex is not more popular. I drove one home and back while my Explorer was in the shop getting fixed(after hours, so ran out of time). Drove very nicely, lots of room, loved driving it. My wife hates the look of them, so not likely to convince her to trade in the old Windstar unless they change the look. I have gotten used to the 74 International Travellall look and don't mind it. lmorris
This summer we are looking to put our 2002 Windstar to rest. Should have close to 300,000 kms on it by then. I too am trying to convince the wife to let me buy a Flex, but she too doesn't like the looks of them. We may end up getting an Edge. They have more second row leg room than the Explorer. If my son decides to keep up with playing the double bass, then I may end up buying some other minivan, most likely an import..
MikeA
Leon, you might wanna consider looking at the Chrysler minivans too. I know it sounds like a plug, but I hate Chrysler products in general.. They've really stepped their quality game up when it comes to the Caravan. It drives really nice, has a 6-speed, and a 280hp engine. It goes pretty good, and if you're not sure then rent one. Surprisingly enough in the Car & Driver comparo, it beat out both the Toyota Sienna and Nissan Quest, only losing to the Honda Odyssey. lmorris
After seeing where they put the spare tire on the Chrysler I have ruled that one out. We no longer need the space of a minivan as of this summer, so I think we will settle on the Edge.
Fredsvt
Chrysler? You've got to be kidding. If you like brakes every 10k, melting plastic oil filter/cooler housings and intakes, among a whole bunch of noises, rattles, bangs and nasty suspension sounds. Several customers where I work bought them, and can't stand them due to all the niggling issues.
mrbudge
Need an import, how about a VW Routan? Oh, sorry, peeled off the VW badge and found a Chrysler badge. I wonder how many people buy these things without knowing what they are?
cheezit
my wife didnt like the body either. I broght it home from the shop with a dealer tag in it. she kept it the next day and drove it 60 or so miles. I drove it 120 (round trip to work and back) sdhe was able to get past the " boxy " look
Keith Browning
I like the boxy look of the Flex with it's stretched out look. Dressed right they almost look elegant.
