How do you southerners handle this shit? And I forgot - my kid just drove in from Red Earth Creek for me to change.... hmmmm, for me to watch him change a tensioner on a 6.4. Fredsvt
25C That's so comfortable. How much humidity? Past 3 days here have reached 37.2C, 36 and 35. Humidity was in the 70% to 90% range. So happy that's gone. Today hit 31 w/30% humidity. Nice in comparison.
Bruce Amacker
I just got back from Sacramento, it was 103 on the car thermometer for several hours there Wednesday.....
Keith Browning
Jesus Christ Jim, a guy your age shouldn't start threads that way. You scared me for a second. Well, I am glad you are not actually dying you cantankerous curmudgeon. Any way, I thought old people LIKED heat? If it makes you feel better we just had a heat wave - three days of mid to upper nineties with a but of humidity. Got a fresh bottle of Anti-Monkey Butt powder and some Gold Bond at the ready. Bring it on!!!
mchan68
Gawd Jim, if you think THAT's hot, come to my shop this past week. Our circus manager, just bought four new fans for the shop. The temps here this week have ranged between 32 to 37*C and Humidex readings of around the mid 40s!!! You should try working at our shop with THOSE conditions. YukonTyler
Glad to see you folks are enjoying the nice temps in Slave Lake. Be mindful of the sparks this year with the warm temps. And that hot stuff back in Ontario sounds like too much. I am in the same boat. 25 in Whitehorse the last couple days has me sweating bullets in my coveralls. Time to go dump a freighter canoe in the river with a 12 pack in tow : ) Happy Sunday y'all.
DieselD
Its been about 110 here this past week. The start of the monsoon season is here too so the humidity is on the rise. Last night it was still 100 degrees out about 8-9pm
Jim Warman
50 to 60 F is on the warm side of "comfortable"... At about 28 F, you find a coat. At about 0 F, you actually do the coat up .... a bit. -20 is a little brisk and you might think about looking for your gloves. If it snows, consider putting the scooter away for the winter. FWIW - I know what I look like wearing shorts.... I will not inflict myself upon innocent people in that manner.

mrbudge
Soak up the heat, in five months it could be -35.
Bruce Amacker
I've seen triple digits 5 weeks straight now, Texas, Sacramento, DC twice, and 99 at home in Cleveland. Texas again next week. 102 yesterday in VA. I like heat but this is frigging ridiculous......
GregH
My family and I were in Sevierville, TN last week for vacation. They had 100+ most of the week and a severe set of popup storms on Thursday. We were on the whitewater on the Pigeon River, and the storm blew right over us. Knocked down trees and whipped up the water something fierce. Late that night we got back to our cabin to see trees down across the road, blocking the access and knocked out power and phone. Didn't find out until later that the storm blocked all access to Wears Valley, and killed someone on a motorcycle riding through the Smoky Mountains on Highway 441 - a tree fell on him. Worst storms in 20 years. Highest temps ever recorded on Mount Leconte - 81F... Here's us on the whitewater:
lmorris
Geez, tough break on the storms. Sorry to hear that. Guess my complaint about the heat fails in comparison. Looks like you had fun rafting though. Always wanted to try that.

Aaron
Nothing wrong with cold. I can always put another coat on. Some customers might object to me working in my drawers when it's too hot.
