Mekanik
What do you guys think about the Streamlight flashlights? Are they worth the money, or is there a better alternative? I'm talking about the one that's rechargable and costs about $175.00. I'm in the market for a new flashlight and I'm the kind of thech that always has his flashlight inn his pocket and uses it like an extention of his hand. Keith Browning
I need a new flashlight too. I own a Streamlight that is LED and battery powered. I mean 3 c-cells. Its okay with new batteries. The guys I work with have the rechargeables ones and they are bright as hell. I borrow one on occasion and I wish I had one. Money for me right now is a problem so I suffer. My middle-aged eyes need good light now so I too am untested in opinions.
DieselD
I will only use Streamlight flash lights. I have rocked the stinger series for years before they become LED. I converted mine old halogen work horse over to the LED kit which worked well. It was not quite as good as the factory streamlight stinger LED but close. I have found a new winner in my book as of late....Its a streamlight strion and is smaller and a shit ton brighter then my LED stinger. It takes all kinds of abuse. Its 100bucks on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-74301-...eamlight+strion Also do not buy streamlight from the tool guys, They are always waaaay higher then it can be had at amazon. for example I know my tool guy sells this version for about $175-180 http://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-STL756...amlight+stinger for those of you with a stinger and want to convert it for cheap this is the way to go http://www.amazon.com/TerraLUX-TLE-ST1-U...amlight+stinger
Keith Browning
I will also add that Streamlight backs their lights with an unconditional warranty. The first one I had (which I found) I left leaning up against a turbo on a van and then road tested it. I later found the light, with the button and lens melted. I received an new one. That very same light later just stopped working. I got another new light. And good find Dustin!!!
Matt Saunoras
I've been through about 3 streamlight stylus pro lights. No idea they had any kind of warranty. It always seems like the switch goes bad.

Hearing that they stand behind their product is something I really like about it. I hate to say this, but I really don't buy anything from tool guys anymore. I can get almost anything online for cheaper than what THEY can get it for. Besides, it's not like they still show up every week.
