Jeff Clyde
Did you remove the plug from the pump prior to installing it ? Have seen this happen before.

scott1984
ok guys check this out after a coulpe weeks working on this mug i found cracked branch tube, a small spilt in the pass. side standpipe, and a #8 injector top cracked. all three leaking oil. Before I foundthe injector leak I lost pcm sync and ficm sync. Found out that I had bad pcm. Customer came to pick up the truck I decided to run down the rode 1 last time. On the way back I lost boost. Found the egr valve wide open. and replaced it and then started smoking grayish color. Looked at my pids found ebp sensor at 50 cleared codes when down to 2. I replace the ebp sensor. Truck runs great. So yes this thang was turning my hair grey. Man what a story.
