Dwayne, I've been considering a move to the great blue province of Alberta... With the amount of recruiters out here working for Alberta dealerships, it may just become a reality...

I left the third world country of Saskatchewan in 1999 and there is no way in hell I could ever look back. Every time I go back to that shit hole it is always for a funeral and I've had three of them to go to since January to go to. Nothing ever changes there. Everyone is still in the same Ole' rut they have always been in but they are all too ignorant or simply afraid to believe there is anything better out there.

Alex, considered that myself. Have spoke to a couple dealers in Alberta in the past. I was just in Whitehorse for 9 days visiting my sister... very tempting !

Didn't even stop to say hi?

Hope that you liked it up here!

Didn't really spend much time in Whitehorse, although we did drive by the dealership. Spent most of the time salmon fishing in Alaska, and 4 wheeling behind their house near Mt. Sima.

Very nice country !

Someone on their program needs to check the validity of an electronic petition. Most government agencies do not accept electronic petitions.

But that tax is a total crock of shit.

Ive just emailed the guy that runs that site:

Mr Reid;

Although I agree in principle with your trades tax abolition - I must ask you this question.

If all trades are not restricted, how would you feel about waiting for a stoplight with your children in your car, and being flattened by a dumptruck loaded with stone, that a "jack of all trades" did brakes on improperly?

I feel most occupations requiring skill or quality workmanship should be forced to go through some kind of accreditation program, even though the asshole four doors down can roll into Canadian Tire and walk out with an armload of brake and steering parts to schlep onto his neighbor's minivan on a Saturday afternoon. (Which leads me onto a whole different tangent, but I digress)

"Oh, he's been doing it a long time!"

Yeah, well so have I, and I have the wall hanging Certificate of Qualification to prove it.

I believe in your cause, but for a different reason than "jacks of all trades" will be forced to become a master of one.

I have emailed my MPP using the form provided on your website.

Best of luck with your endeavors.

Best regards
