ETS
I have to say I am missing Diesel Engine Repair and my Super Duty Fleet. Have been at uhhh... Toyota for almost a year. The Tri-fecta repair here is: 90L accelerator pedal modification, COM Power Window Switch Inspection and COJ Rear Trailing Arm Inspection. All recalls. Had an traded in 06 with ruptured EGR cooler last month but they auctioned it. Money is almost double but it is boring here. Shop is running 70% maintance. Keith Browning
I am a little confused. Are you complaining about the meatball work you are doing or the money? I guess there realy is more to a career than just money.

joshbuys
Just started at a new dealer this last week, kinda strange pulling the engine on a mustang, never been there before, I've always been in the truck shop doing Super Duties. Matt Saunoras
That's why I won't move, the biggest truck dealer in the area already has 4 guys and not always enough work.
joshbuys
I had to make a move, my old dealer keeps hiring guys so they "can get the trucks out faster" which leaves everyone standing around making 40 hours in 2 weeks, I just can't afford that, made 40 hours in 3 1/2 days at my new dealer, and there seems to be plenty of work to go around, the other 'heavy duty' guy there doesn't do anything that isn't 'heavy duty'
Matt Saunoras
What the fuck is up with that anyways, why are we subject to hours spent at work that aren't paid? Why do I constantly have to hear the phrases "turning hours" and "efficiency?" If I am paid a high hourly rate but am not efficient then why the hell doesn't my employer get rid of me for someone less paid and faster? lmorris
Where I work, if it is not busy, which is seldom, we have the option of going on shop time and doing some equipment maintenance or shop cleaning.
