Not sure about others, but our service manager is a licenced technician who has worked for Ford as a tech. Anything that breaks or is worn out that poses a saftey issue is replaced in a timely manner.

If what you describe is "business as usual", then you live in one fucked up country.

 

In a land without universal medical care, (Shit, in a land WITH universal medical care) I would be loathe to risk my life using a lift I didn't trust.

 

You are no fucking good to your family if you are laying in an expensive hospital bed, all gibbled up. And any logic you can present to justify getting there is lost on me.

 

You don't need a fucking gun to play Russian Roulette.

Have an inspector come in to do my inspections as they are due now. Currently looking at replacing a few old "Hydra-Lifts", and installing new Rotary units since the cost of putting rollers in those old things is nuts. I used to work at a place where Stevie "The Wheelchair" Wonder used to hang around and visit since he couldn't work there anymore..You can imagine why.....
