Actually I thought she did well in contrast to her prior year part time attempts at the big league. She was on the pole, stayed in the top 10 most of the race and finished in the top ten. I noticed that running 3rd in the final laps she did not make any move to break out. In her post race interview she stated that she was afraid to "go" in fear of being left out to drop back. Lack of experience there. I would have bet JR. would have stuck to her bumper and my guess is that he was waiting for her to do so. He finally did but it was too late if he had anything but he did have lep come with him in the draft. Another lap or two and who knows. My advice to Danika would be to take a chance if you want to win. A race like the Daytona 500 is a win or lose proposition considering the prize it represents. 2nd, 8th or 43rd... you didn't win.

I don't think she did anything different than anyone else. They all seemed so afraid of being shufflesd to the back that no one took any chances at all. I was hoping for some action at the end, at least Jr. took a shot but with a teammate(jimmy) in front, I can see why he went for it at the last second then they both end up with a good finish. And you know that is all most of the top ten drivers were doing, they(smaller teams) needed the finish money.

Hopfully the new cars will be more racy at the shorter no plate tracks.
