Brad Clayton
It seems things change everyday, what was once a mundane no brainer had now been updated. This is from the shop manual for a 2012 F-150. Carry out the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) Reset using the scan tool after the battery is connected, if the battery has been replaced. mchan68
Is that what those "thingys" (to put it into girly terms for lack of a better way to describe it) that look similar to amp clamps are on a lot of these new F-150s?
Jim Warman
Yes indeedy.... and you best make sure you perform the reset when necessary so that you don't find out about "load shedding" in an embarrassing way.
Brad Clayton
At least the independents have the 8 hour cold soak option. Can you imagine Auto Zone telling somebody they have to leave their truck in the parking lot over night after they get their free battery replacement?
