Bruce Amacker Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 I won't use them, I was burned by one of these years ago and it took many hours to find the problem. I remember it clearly- the FP circuit would go open only after the engine ran and warmed up the harness for an hour or so. It was one of these style connectors installed in the relay circuit under the hood and taped up real well in a Crown Vic cop car, City of Strongsville. We didn't install it, the city guys did, but we had to find it. The problem with these is you can't check to see if the solder actually sticks to the wire, and in this case it didn't.
