2001 F450 V-10 Manual Trans. Swap

Has anyone tried to swap a 6spd trans where 5spd came out?

2001 F450 V-10 2 wheel drive. Picked up a truck cheap, Trans sounds like a can of marbles. Have 2005 6spd available not sure if trans will swap in. Both 2wd V-10 trucks.

I think you would have an easier time repairing the 5sp versus swapping in the 6sp. Too many variables to consider. (input shafts, clutches, hydraulics, bell housing, transmission length, tranny mount position, shift lever position)
