Significance of #2 and #8 misfires

I seem to remember some significance when you're constantly getting these misfires, but what it was, I cant remember. Something like debris in the fuel or egr cooler failure. Can anyone jog my memory?

It seems I was told by someone (I think at hotline) it has something to do with the intake design. I know if you look at oil stains from CCV on a non-EGR equipped truck, it blows it all down that bank, so I can only imagine liquid doing the same.
