Keith Browning
We joke that If it was feasible Ford would call back fluids on warranty repairs. Ever have a stud called back on a manifold job? No problem. I swept up all of the crap that came off an engine after drilling out broken studs and returned it. It is amazing how much rust and crap falls of when replacing manifolds... mind you my floor was clean when I started. Gotta love working in the rust belt! Brad Clayton
Ditto on that. I have gone to the practice of taking the new part out of the box and immediately putting the old part in the box with RO number and date on it. I recently rebuilt a 54 in an Econoline and had writers cramp from labeling everything for return.
Aaron
I had them call back a BATTERY once. Sent it back freight collect, hazardous materials. The shipping bill was almost $600. They mad.
Matt Saunoras
I haven't had anything really crazy called back. Last one that struck me as odd was a 6.4 EGR valve, which I surprisingly pulled out intact with no problem. Did they actually want proof they could be removed?
