Steve Mutter
Has anyone heard what the problem is and why they have the stop sale?
Matt Saunoras
There is a post on the message boards about the injectors. The stop sale applies to complete engines that have these bad injectors installed too. From what I read these injectors are leaking down fuel at the return port causing a no start hot with no fuel dillution in the oil. Other than that I don't know any specifics. There is a test in the PC/ED to check for fuel flow on the return side without the injectors being commanded to fire.
Alex Bruene
I just replaced an injector with a leaking jam nut yesterday. I was told nothing by the parts department or prior approval about a "stop sale"... I guess I'll keep my eyes open for it to come back!
lmorris
We were pricing out an Enhanced long block, parts said it only applies to complete drop in engines. Nothing said about loose injectors.
