Keith Browning
FANTASTIC! I need to order one of these for a truck I have in right now.
Matt Saunoras
I need someone to make me a 6.4 kit for one outside.
Steve Mutter
I checked no stock and no price yet
mchan68
Just for shits and giggles, I went to price one of those kits out, and it doesn't come back as a valid part number. I wanted to see the price 'cause I needed a good laugh.
mchan68
Notice it uses the same base part number as the 6.0L STC fitting kit...... another useless piece of information.
Matt Saunoras
Well if the first letter is E then we might not be seeing these for a few months? A = 2010, B = 2011 and so on. edited several times because I got confused
mchan68
Well, why release the SSM if the part number is not valid? E is a 2014 model year code.
Keith Browning
Ford is good like that... you know, like announcing a recall to the public before letting the dealers know and parts not being available for it to boot!
Keith Browning
I checked this out and the part number is valid. 48 kits were released on 8/19 and are available for emergency orders with no sales restrictions. The part will come off of backorder on 9/26. I could not get any pricing information yet however. Looks like you will still need to order a fuel conditioning module and a fuel cooler as needed. DieselD
That makes life a little easier vs ordering everything seperate. Just goes to show you this must be a very common concern for ford to put together a "kit"
mchan68
I second the idea of putting together such a "kit" for a 6.4L.
Aaron
I have a 6.4 list somewhere, I will dig it up.
mchan68
Just curious. Has anyone been able to price out this kit yet? I just checked a couple of days ago. The "kit" as it's described, prices out at about $5300 with no core charge here in Canada.
lmorris
Can this thread be stickied? I tried finding this 3 days ago and couldn't, we are starting to see more come in.
