gengor
I got here a 6.7 with no brakes, I found that the brake booster failed. once I started ripping it apart I found oil throughout the vacuum system, all the lines are just full, the vacuum can is full as well, the only possible place for that oil to come from that I think is a failed vacuum pump. Has anyone seen this yet??
lmorris
Yup, we see a lot. The vacuum pump is oil lubed. So when they fail the systems gets pumped full of oil. You have to replace all the lines and the vacuum canister/battery tray/degas bottle if oil makes it to the cannister.
