kellyf
I read somewhere that using unapproved def fluid will overfill system and cause issues with tank reading empty. Please tell me I did not dream this!
Keith Browning
I don't think overfilling is an issue. The Ford DEF with the plastic fill nozzle will fill the DEF right up to the filler neck. You must have nodded off.
Aaron
I remember that too. Using the incorrect filler jug will overfill the system and cause the filler neck to freeze since there's no heater in it. It has been a while since i saw that message though. Jim Warman
But - but - but the tank heater is turned off when the trucks is shut of, oui? Add that DEF turns to slush and not to ice.....
lmorris
We have had issues with tank filling on cold days. They have to sit in the shop for 30-40 minutes before they take any fluid.
