Keith Browning
I was thinking about a parts forum with a sticky listing all the unusual or hard to find part numbers. Any thoughts on this?
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I think that this would be a good idea. Anything we can do to make all of our tough jobs a little easier would make the days around here a little more tolerable. Let's face it we don't all get the same info at the same time. DieselD
I think this would be a GREAT addition to the site! I think it woudl save alot of time when you know where you could find a part number for something. I hate standing at the parts counter waiting for the parts guy to try and track it down. It would their life easier as much as it would ours
Keith Browning
Yeah yeah yeah... I had a good idea and forgot about it. I'll make it happen this weekend. Right now I'm just a lil too deep into a bottle of rum and the kiddie-poohs are staring at a Christmas tree with no lights on it yet. You know, puppy dog eyes and big grins? LOL! mchan68
I think it would be an excellent idea. On that, does anyone know of a website to look up Ford parts, the same way parts guy does using microcrap? I know we've all run into a situation at some point where a parts guy is attempting to look up a part for us that we would be much faster and more efficient at doing. There's nothing that pisses me off more than a parts guy giving me attitude, when I'm trying to find a part. Does anyone know how to navigate through a parts guys' system access to the microcat screen, if such access exists through their inford.com (or fmcdealer.com for you Americans)? Jim Warman
Mike... for some of it, the workshop manual will give the basic part number in the exploded views - usually in the description and operation subsections for each heading... Sometimes, this can help speed up the process....
