gasgasman
Has anyone done the latest 6.0 Power Stroke PCM reflash? The injectors cycle for 30 seconds after engine shut off. It prevents the injectors from sticking after the vehicle sets overnight. Ford has a flier you can print out for the customer, so they don't think something is wrong. Joey Kaylor
damn. thats gonna cause some paranoid customers! just about as good as the 4.9's with the fan that kept running to keep the fuel rail from vapor locking.
Jim Warman
It's not a PCM reflash... if you do a PCM flash, this FICM reprogram will come along with it but, if the PCM is at the latest calibration, you'll get the meassage "no later cailbration...". For this you'll have program only the FICM. Started a thread in the TSB forum.... Did one day before yesterday that was flagging four in the AM... Yesterday it started and ran great. Did an 06E17 today and the FICM strategy was also loaded.
ErickBaker
Has anyone else done this reflash? I did one Friday morning that had a slight miss on cold start up. I did the reflash and on Monday morning it didn't miss, however it wasn't as cold as I would of liked it to have been. I was just wondering about some of your experiences with the reflash because this customer traded the truck in and it's probably going to the auction. Also have you noticed any driveability changes? It seems like this truck ran much better after the reflash. That could of been all in my head though.
