WGLR13MWZ
Does anyone here work for a Ford Commercial Truck Parts Dealer? If you do have you installed one of these? What are your thoughts? Real Power Generator System
Keith Browning
That's a pretty interesting idea. They don't list any pricing though. My dealer sells trucks and upfits through other body companies. We don't get involved in this type of installation. I bet it would sell. WGLR13MWZ
It is available to dealers that are enrolled in Commercial Truck Parts. Ball park pricing is around 3750.00 - 5000.00 plus labor. Depends on application and deale mark up. Takes about 4 hours to install. The body companies do not have access to this unless they were grnadfathered in since Ford CTP has the exclusive rights to them. The way I see this product it is a win, win, win for all departments. Sales gets to sell it and mark it up, parts sells it to sales, and service gets paid to put it on. How many products are out there promoting all aspects of a dealership? WGLR13MWZ
I forgot to add thsi little story about the Real Power in my last post. There is a dealership in Winnie, Texas that was hit by the Hurricane last year. They were out of power for a few weeks. They had a unit with a PTO provision on it and got ahold of a real power unit. They ran thier whole dealership (excluding the A/C) off of this one unit. They started the unit and only turned it off once b/c they forgot to read the directions to lube the ujoints at 200 hours. In all they had ran it for 360+ hours. One word, impressive! By the way, if you dont have much knowledge of generators 12kw aint no small generator.
