tonybullitt
Had a quicklane guy doing a pdi come and get me says can you listen to this car. The trans growled something terrible (even with a tire rotated by hand). Checked fluid is full took sample out and had tons of glitter in it. Pulled trans tore down here is what I found. tonybullitt
Found the cause. That is a broken torx bit stuck to the speed sensor. It is the correct size for the gears that move the shift rails. I assume it broke during assembly fell inside and caused the damage. Car has 3 miles on it. Must have made alot of noise when it happened.
forddieseldoctor
Wow. That's cool. Did you get a whole new assembly or did Ford make you patch it back together?
tonybullitt
Went over cost cap and got my prior approval. The new complete showed up late friday.
