FordFanaticTony Posted November 11, 2014 Share Posted November 11, 2014 hello fellas. i dont have much experience in the diesel manual trans world but i have a customer with a 6.0 2004 f-550 who is experiencing a cluth pedal that softens when the engine is hot. any suggestions to what may be causing this concern. thanks in advance for any suggestions or recommendations. jimmy57 Posted November 12, 2014 Share Posted November 12, 2014 When it softens does the clutch still release fully (still goes into gear easy if out in neutral then clutch depresed to put in gear)? Aaron Posted November 16, 2014 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Complete slave and master filled and bled is cheap in the aftermarket. If the clutch still releases ok I would tell him not to worry. Perhaps a buildup of shit on the input shaft or where the release bearing rides. Once it heats up and everything expands its easier to move.
