the_twig_187
does anyone have or know the part number for the long snap-on T-40 socket that was made specifically for doing 6.0 fuel injectors? another tech would like to purchase one but we are having a hard time finding it. batmantech
Don't have that sorry, For what it's worth, I just pull my torx bit out of the socket and slide it into a 5/16 3/8 drive deep socket. Hold it with some handyman secret weapon and away you go.
eastendpowerstroke
I just bought Sk long torx sockets 1 40 1 45 and cut it to length. I can buy 4 new Sk sockets for the cost of one snap on.
Chad_Kelsoe
Snap-on # S6340E for the T-40 couldn't find the part # for the long T-45, but I ordered some long T-45 bits from my dealer and swapped out the bits in my socket to make it work. Buddy_M
FTXL40E is what I have for injectors. Mid length, but not the length of the old socket for the 302 intakes.
Brad Clayton
A regular length T45 works fine, the hold down was redesigned with plenty of room.
Keith Browning
The problem I had was a Snap-On T45 is a 3/8" drive socket which is too at and interferes with the top of the injector. Torx sockets slip easily if they are on an angle. I bought a T30 and a replacement T45 bit and installed it into the T30 socket and now I have a 1/4" drive T45. As a matter of fact I have two because I misplaced it at one time and made another.
