cworley
Ive come across a roadblock that maybe somone out there may be able to help me on. My helper crushed an oil temp sensor connector during an oil cooler/egr cooler job on a 2004 F250 6.0 . crushed it flat on the timing cover.I've been told that only a harness will get you along. I cant do that. I need a connector & pigtail. A guy out in florida read one of my posts in fmcdealer & has since shipped me a used connector clipped off an old harness. but what about next time? Does anyone know the part number? oil temp sensor connector? i'd sure appreciate it. email me at chrisworley32@yahoo.com
Keith Browning
Having accidents like this instilled patience and respect for some connectors in me. I have broken a few in my time. Unfortunately this is one of those connectors that might not have a replacement but if Motorcraft has one it will be in the catalog when I look for it tomorrow. I keep all salvaged harnesses and cut off connectors with a few inches of wire. This practice has saved my ass several times. A PSD engine harness is not a commonly replaced item. I have saved about three from being scrapped by my parts clerk. Ford rarely calls back harnesses. I also remember being told that the connectors on these harnesses are Delco in origin... may be of some value to know that.
Scott B
I suggest you source out International for one.At work we have a whole cabinet of pigtails for everything.IPR,ICP,Basically every sensor plug is available. There are many that are the same on the VT-365 as the DT-466 and T-444E's yet.So I would check it out.I know they are available. Keith Browning
Hey Scott, does International have a web site for you guys? Like our Ford site with corporate info, service pubs, vehicle info and message boards? Another question, is there any kind of a list that has descriptions, part numbers and even pictures for these pigtails? Motorcraft has a really nice one that I got my hands on from our parts distributor. I looked through it but did not find a match for this sensor. LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I don't know if this will help. I just pulled a 12B637 harness out and on the hard shell connector it has a partial # on it 1928403... It appears that they left the last 3 digits off on purpose. I'm going to do some more digging and see if I can find something more. Stay tuned
cworley
I'd apprciate that. I too have the whole stamping number on the hardshell but seems to be a useless number to my parts dept.I tried GM parts because I have learned its a Delco part. But no luck there either, unless the chevy guy didnt want to help the ford guy.
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I don't know if it's a GM part or not. I'm going in the direction of the sensor manufacturer " Siemens " I'm hoping to here back from the tech dept. today.

Yes there is a tech info site called ISIS (International Service Information System) It has the latest recalls,Bulletins and It is very good. There is a Master service manual whre you can acess all proceedures for the Complete engine line, and all component manufacturers as in Drivelines or whatever the case might be.I will have to check with the parts guys at work on the catalog.I am sure it exists and can be acessed online also.I will see if I can possibly help out with this temp conn on Monday and cross it over on a VT-

Keith Browning
I don't know if this will help. I'm going to do some more digging and see if I can find something more. Stay tuned I have SEVERAL of these connectors with wires in my salvaged connector box. The number on it matches what Larry posted here. The EOT and ECT sensors use the same connector. The wires will always contain a grey/red wire and one of the following: yellow/white, red/white, light green/red. I'll post a picture tonight...
