tonybullitt
We on the trp were informed that the clutch pack kits will start coming with a preselected shims. No measuring required just slap in and go. Now the part you dont want to hear the times are being lowered also.
Chase
Last 8.8 clutch pack I did was that way. Had carbon fiber clutches also.
forddieseldoctor
Didn't they do that back in the early 2000's? I seem to remember the first couple of clutch packs I ever put in being pre-shimmed.
the_twig_187
Just did a 10.5 inch two piece traction lok clutch kit... It did not come with pre-selected shims so I had to guess the shims and then assemble the case halves until I reached a breakaway torque of 20-30 foot pounds. I had to do this because we have the nice red box with the shim measuring tools, but not the tools themselves!
