forddieseldoctor
Sorry bud, can't help you. Only played with it once or twice when it first came out.
Bruce Amacker
I thought they took the website down when the VCM2 came out. Here's the site, the install link is still down: http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/wds/diagnosticsites/GOBDii/usen/ When I got my VCM2 I e-mailed IDS tech support to ask them about why/whether the generic OBD portion didn't work. They responded that there was no such thing. I sent them the link.......
Aaron
I've used it on mine. It doesn't do a whole lot but if you want to check monitors and clear codes and stuff it works OK. I haven't used it in a while. I have the installer for it on my PC if you want. If I recall rightly it just modifies a shortcut and adds a switch to the end of it. In your windows Run box, try this: "c:program files (x86)ford motor companyidsRuntimetestman.exe" /A=GEN_OBD2F The bolded part may differ on your PC, that's where I have it installed on mine. You must have the quotes in the "Run" window as they are in the line above - or it won't work. Alternatively you could open a command prompt window in that runtime folder and type "testman.exe /A=GEN_OBD2F" (without the quotes)
