Keith Browning
After years of dealing with emergency equipment killing batteries while in my shop I FINALLY made up a proper extension cord for shoreline usage. Does anyone know that the proper usage is for these things? Are they intended to be plugged in constantly while parked inside a garage? I just want to be sure. lmorris
I was told by one of our Ambo fleet managers that this what they are supposed to do if the unit is going to sit for more than a day. We have one unit come in that blows a 650 AMP megafuse and shuts down the entire unit if it sits outside and is not plugged in in cold weather. They usually have the block heater tied into the shoreline as well.
forddieseldoctor
As far as I know they get plugged in all the time. The block heaters do get tapped into the shoreline. I had one that they were complaining about lack of power cold on a 7.3. Found out they had unplugged the block heater from it.
