Matt Saunoras
I have in the past seen open map wires burned through on the turbo when the wiring harness loom is broken or missing. Just something to add to the conversation. Glad you got it fixed.

mchan68
Just to add my two cents to it. I suspect this vehicle didn't flag a P2262 is likely because the vehicle in question is a 2004 model year. I vaguely recall one such truck I worked on years ago that set that code when I secured the MAP sensor hose the adjacent intake manifold stud instead of the nipple fitting. From that point on, I always made sure to check that whenever going back together. And I believe that was a 2006 model year truck.

That is priceless. I have caught myself doing that on more than one occasion

Keith Browning
I don't think I have ever done that but I have left several completely disconnected. And you immediately know it the first time you hit the accelerator pulling out of the shop.

Kevin_Rymwid
I'm glad I got it out of here too! I did learn a lot about 6.0s on my first real experience with them. I still prefer 6.7s and 7.3s though lol. You guys sure are the best!
