mchan68
The main thing that matters, is the truck is FIXED, correct or am I missing something? For what it's worth, I have seen my share of plugged solid EBP tubes at the manifold myself, which is usually seen when the EBP psi PID delays going back to atmospheric pressure when you shut it down.
Keith Browning
The main thing that matters, is the truck is FIXED, correct or am I missing something?Absolutely. I am not so much pissed as I am frustrated by the situation which goes much deeper than a non-trained, unexperienced tech making a mistake that cost me hours and decimated my paycheck. This is what I have to work with. Aside from that, the gentleman that owns the truck is a LONG time customer of the store so I felt especially disappointed and embarrassed for dispatching the job to the tech. For what its worth, the man just dropped $4000 on the truck, mostly to install a new front monobeam axle which was rotted away and mounts were breaking off and this performance issue. He returned the truck within 30 minutes of picking it up. When I began working on this comeback, I was driving it very hard because of the concern. The rear driveshaft tore apart at the rear flange where it is welded to the tube. It is so rusted that the shaft has holes in it. The truck has been screwing with me for 3 weeks. I am feeling a lot of emotions concerning this incident. Anger is only one of them and to be honest, justified.
