8WA Sman
Anyone have documentation or info on where the 2 little clips go on the newer style TRW brakes. I have searched SI, asked TRW and various other resources and can't seem to find a defiant answer. I have always put it on the outer pad @ the bottom. Matt Saunoras
Wherever they go I don't put them on.
lmorris
Just doing a set now. Ford pads, same clips, ones that came off are on the outboard pad at the bottom.
8WA Sman
My thought is that it helps support the floating side of the caliper. Here is some basic brake info, I like page 52 & 70. tutorial-limberg.pdf
Alex Bruene
I put them on the outside pad. Usually on the bottom, but I've put them on the top too. I don't think it matters. Everybody else here throws them in the bin.
8WA Sman
I have had good success getting even pad wear on the rear by installing the clips like this... top to the front/bottom to the rear
