tonybullitt
They have added a vin scan feature to the mobile pts. I downloaded it on my phone today. It worked good for me. One of the vehicles I tried it on was a 2001 super duty. The scanner added a L at the beginning I just erased it and it worked. Check it out if you haven't. lmorris
Pretty sweet. If you are like me and assumed it was a bar code scanner, it's not. You need to place the blue line over the actual VIN, not the bar code. It doesn't tell you that. And it won't read the stamped VIN plate under the windshield either, only the B-pillar placard. Keith Browning
Heh - when they can get to work with Siri and I can ask her how to fix trucks then I will be impressed.
2006
I tried it today, have to hold the camera pretty steady for it to read. If I can use ids with a wireless obd adapter, then I'll be impressed
forddieseldoctor
I played with it yesterday morning. Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't able to add any symptom codes to any vin that was scanned.
