forddieseldoctor
A friend of mine gave me an article about this out of the Farm Show newspaper. I looked it up and did a little research on it. It looks to me like you have to modify the injector because the new cup/sleeve is to narrow to allow a normal injector to fit in the hole. I'm assuming that anytime that injector was removed in the future you would need special o-rings. I have formed an opinion about this repair, however I am going to keep that to myself at this point. I wanna see what the objective minds here have to say about it before I pollute the pool with my thoughts on it. http://www.accuratediesel.com/shop/279.html
jimmy57
Cracks are all too often dynamic. The crack that was allowing fuel in coolant stands a chance of growing and allowing fuel to escape to top face of head and get into oil. I would rate this as a fix it to trade it to put the problem on someone else's plate type repair.
