Keith Browning
One of my team mates was replacing a leaking hub seal. Put the hub back on and set the wheel bearing and the hub was really hard to turn. So I looked at it and we took it back apart - the seal was undamaged and everything was assembled properly. We reassembled it and checked it. Still tight. I told him to put another seal in it which he did and it was tight as well. We are assuming that this is normal and the seal needs to settle in. Wondering if anyone has seen this before.
Alex Bruene
I'm doing a set tomorrow... I'll let you know how it feels.
Alex Bruene
Yeah, so... I knew I was forgetting to do something. Reporting on this is what it turned out to be... So, I didn't notice anything like you are talking about. The hub spun freely when all was said and done. On a side note, at 2.3 hours, I think I have a new favorite job!
