2017 cab and chassis fuel gauge inaccurate

Found plastic tank sucked in from dust in vents. Any one else seeing this? What are you doing to repair?

Hotline said replace tank vent is built into it.

Well that makes sense but if this truck is always operated in a dusty environment is this failure going to repeat?

I think I should add hose and vent cap like we used to on older ones that got water in them.

Replaced tank, pump and vent caps on this truck today. The tank being sucked in had put a nice bend in the pump.

Amazing how much a deformed tank will bend a fuel pump isn't it?
