forddieseldoctor
Anyone ever use one of these: https://ipatools.com/products/electric-brake-force-meter-with-dynamic-load-simulation-and-circuit-testing.html
Chad_Kelsoe
Yup, my dealer just bought 2 of these. I like it, LED's are bright, plenty of cord to reach the inside of the truck. Much smaller and less bulky compared to the Tekonsha tester. The only thing I like about the Tekonsha tester over this one is the abilty to see both voltage and amperage from the brake controller, but so far the IPA tool has not failed me. It sells on the Rotunda site for just a little over $100.
forddieseldoctor
I saw it in the flyer yesterday. Figured I’d ask before I just ordered it. I have the tekonsha emulator, but you have to have a second person to watch it plus the new F150’s don’t play nice with it.
8WA Sman
If I am testing the connect function of the system I use anything with a magnet. eg old brake magnet, speaker or motor. If I am testing the output I use a motor from a PSD throttle body. I took a trailer plug and some duplex wire to test while driving if needed.
