tonybullitt
I am working on a towed in no start that has one of these kits installed. My question is with a high pressure pump failure and tons of metal in frame rail pump and tank do I trust the kit did its job? Or should I recommend the complete fuel system? I have not taken a sample from a fuel rail yet. I will get that done in the morning.
Keith Browning
Well, it would absolutely hinge on the results of the fuel rail check for debris. Remember, those disaster kits will not protect anything if the damage to the pump is in the plunger and cylinder. The kit only bypasses fuel from the body where the cam and the roller are from getting to the fuel rails. I am very interested in your findings. tonybullitt
I think it keeps the truck running longer but doesn't change the outcome unless caught early on.
