forddieseldoctor
We got our’s this last week. I played with it a little bit. It works great if all you are doing is going out and scanning for codes or need very basic level of pids. The plan for our’s is that the service writer and the manager can go out and read codes before it gets written up without having to learn how to use the ids or fdrs. Are you sure that's not going to lead to premature and possibly inaccurate diagnosis? Every time I see an advisor get a hold of a scan tool, it goes sideways. Well… they’ve been running around with some pos that one of the former service managers bought off of ebay that doesn’t ever give all the codes. So this should be an improvement. Plus I’ve been playing with one and I kinda like it. It’s faster than the ids or fdrs for clearing codes if you have to start with no saved session. Only downside is there’s no way to go back and see what you cleared.
