Steve Mutter
We have a truck that came to us with the fuel pressure/temperature sensor leaking. They told us that they have replaced 2 and it keeps leaking. So we put another sensor and pigtail and it started leaking again after about 5 minutes. I have never seen this but I guess there is some kind of restriction in the fuel line, the truck runs and starts good other wise. Has anyone else seen this ? 8WA Sman
Wouldn't over pressure show in the pid data?
Steve Mutter
Well I think it's fixed, the water drain was causing air to enter in the system. Someone replace the end gasket on the drain with two o-rings. We put a new one in and drove it for a long time and found it did not blow the sensor out. Very odd because I have see a lot of frame mounted fuel filters not fully installed and they did not cause this problem. If it come back I will update this.
