Keith Browning
This morning my manager handed me a few pages from a new Ford program. I only had time to glance over it and left it in my toolbox so my details are sketchy at best. I'm not sure if you would call it an incentive plan but it's for diesel techs and the winnings are from $5.00 to $100.00. There was a list of labor ops that are used to enter techs into the contest. Anyone see or hear about this?
gasgasman
They are also presenting all the Diesel Certified techs with a scale model of an F350 truck. Ford is finally stepping up and realizing that tech DO play a role in their CSI numbers. When the Sick-Os first came out, I got a check for $50. Torqued_Up
You mean this? Quote: "The Heat Is On" Spin to Win Incentive This incentive will provide qualifying technicians with an opportunity to spin for cash and prizes for each diesel warranty claim paid that includes one or more of the 34 qualifying diesel labor operations. The spin values will range from $5.00 to $100.00. The award amounts can be redeemed for cash via the Genuine Service MasterCard. I encourage you to use these spins to generate some excitement in your shop meetings. Details of how the spin to win program will work are contained in the Attachment. Monthly Grand Prize Drawing There will be an additional monthly Grand Prize drawing, four in total, from the group of technicians that have redeemed at least one spin for that month. Prizes for the monthly drawings will be significant. Details of the monthly Grand Prize drawings will be released shortly. PTS Power Stroke Diesel Die Cast Trucks To kick off this exciting new incentive, each diesel certified technician, as of June 1, 2006, in Specialty 51 or 52 will receive a limited edition PTS F-350, Power Stroke Diesel, die cast model truck. These models were produced specifically for PTS in a limited number to recognize the extra effort and professionalism that Ford diesel certified technicians demonstrate. Keith Browning
Just a friendly reminder Gentlemen [*]Please do not post "Ford's stuff" that is considered their corporate business and full copyrighted documents. I let some of the technical stuff like "parts of" FSA's, TSB's, and SSM's slide to be able to discuss and share information that is helpful - without revealing anything Ford does not intend the public to see. Remember, this is NOT Ford's web site but we still owe them a little respect. [*]Please do not be offended or take any action by a Moderator too personally. If a post is edited, it is because it did not follow the forum rules. If a post is moved, that simply means it was posted in the wrong place. Such instances are rare. [*]I DO NOT LIKE CENSORSHIP AND HEAVY HANDED MODERATION AND THAT WILL NEVER BE THE POLICY OF THIS WEB SITE. In a year and a half of publication these forums have been joined by a great bunch of people and I am actually proud of the friendly professional atmosphere and quality of the posting - thank you! Mekanik
Yeah I won five bucks. The way I read it we can get spins for doing these specific labor ops. on 7.3's also. Is this correct?
Keith Browning
I think that is true. I guess none of us are the winner of the first drawing. My own IDS would be nice to have but I am not sure what I would do with a Super Duty truck.

Keith Browning
You cant accumulate many diesel engine diag operations when you are doing iron but that run seems to have ended... for now. (He knocks on wood) I finally got one more spin for $25! Thats $135 for 17 spins. Woo Hoo! Maybe I'll get lucky in the remaining drawings. I heard the average is $13 per spin. I guess I'm pullin the average down huh? My Rep told me that a lot of guys at some dealers are not using their spins. I don't get that at all unless the techs don't work there anymore and the dealer is using their certs for warranty?
Keith Browning
I got my die-cast truck today and a debt card for the award ca$h. Is everybody okay? I know its Summer and all but it's quiet around here! Actually all the boards are a little slow. The second drawing is coming up!!!
