LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I just thought this might be a good topic. I been noticing lately on the Ford parts packages where the parts are made, for instance pull a F81Z15442BA and take a look....It's made in Poland, how American is this??? How about a YC3Z7L596AA clutch pack made in Brazil. Anybody else see this as well??? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
Parts_Jimmy
I looked under a 2008 F450 the other day and I noticed that the front rear spring hanger said " Made in China" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crybaby2.gif

Keith Browning
Well I have read a lot about Ford pissing off suppliers. Maybe they have to go off-shore to find manufacturers willing to produce parts. It could be as simple as economics though. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif besides, Ford makes cars all over the World so it really is not a big surprise. I will admit that some of the counties of origin raise an eyebrow though. I don't recall seeing China yet but I recall Mexico, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Germany, Spain... and I swear I have seen the Philippines on a part. LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
2 more thoughts on this, Do you think that the guy's at the assembly plants know where these parts are coming from? Better yet maybe the car/truck manufacturers should be more politically correct and change the saying from American made to American assembled. What does this do for U.S. content percentages? Bruce Amacker
Do you think that the guy's at the assembly plants know where these parts are coming from? When I toured the IH assembly plant, the workers did not know the difference between a DT466E and a T444E! I have two IAT2's, both Siemens, one says "Made in Czech" and the other says "Made in France". It's a world market, that's for sure! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
