mchan68
So apparently a new oil filter is out, supposedly for the new "high output" 6.7 engines for the 2023 model year Super Duty trucks. I've now heard rumours this new oil filter is going replace the existing FL-2051S oil filter, and will be backwards compatible with all trucks with the 6.7 engine back to 2011 model years. Thoughts? Keith Browning
It makes sense to move to the new filter and make it backward compatible. I am more interested in WHY the HO 6.7L NEEDS this new filter.

8WA Sman
I have not cut open a FL-2124-S but here is a youtube video. Couple differences I noticed are anti-drain back valve seems to be slightly different material and the filter is 35-40 grams heavier.
Steve Mutter
We can't get either filter at this time, we started getting wix filters for the time being.
