JeffEzack
Does anyone know the part # for the heat shield that slides over the ICP sensor and connector on the 03's and early 04's? (always becomes saturated with oil when the ICP starts to leak).
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I dug into it and couldn't come up with a exact replacement for the shielding over the harness that your talking about. I did come up with some that I think will work. D4FZ14A099B 1/4" D4SZ14A099F 3/8" D4AZ14A099A 3/4" I believe that this is the metallic shielding that you are looking for. If not let me know and I will dig deeper.
Joey Kaylor
i think he is looking for the silicone section about 4" long, i think it is 1" or 1.25" ID. its a little sleeve that goes over the ICP and the connector.

LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
I think I'm high again, hang out I have to check my notes, I'll make sure and get back with you. Okay I checked and the one we were using was the LCF kit for the icp shield part # 6E7Z9H529AA I don't know if this what you guy's want but is what we use and works. Thanks Keith!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/boink3.gif
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Has anybody else gotten these kits??? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif Is this what we have been looking for??? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
Keith Browning
Hmmm, if you are talking LCF kit pertaining to a recall then that would be for the IPR - the connector and pigtail with a new heat shield. Unfortunately it is not the same thing. The shield that we are looking for slides over the harness which is already wrapped in shielding, but after connecting the harness into the ICP sensor, the shield slides over the connector and the sensor. This added extra protection from heat because of the proximity to the y-pipe and turbocharger. When I get the chance I'll take a pic. Maybe we can put the idea of a sensor/connector/shield kit into one of the suggestion boxes at Ford?!?! Or at least make the shield available. LARRY BRUDZYNSKI
Keith definitley send me some pics I know what you want but need to see it to help. Remember I'm not on the front line anymore. I may have what you need here at the new shop but have to see it, or send me a old one. We did use the kit I mentioned but never heard from the techs one way or the other. I figured that was the fix, obviously I was wrong(not to often but yes I was in this case). But then again maybe my techs may have not have cared if it fixed the problem or just changed out the connector and down the road she goes?? Keith or anybody else here send me something so I can help.
GregH
Anyone come up with this part number, yet? I'm swapping an engine in a 6.0 and the old harness doesn't have it's shield...
Bruce Amacker
I have this in my notes "hopefully" it's correct: # 6E7Z9H529AA Good Luck!
GregH
That part number is close, Bruce. That is a kit used to wrap the end of the pigtail that goes to the IPR. It's got a velcro flap that wraps the connector, and a sheet of foil to wrap the last 4 inches or so of harness. I appreciate the help, though!
