DieselD
This is a first for me. Of course the truck was overheating , the customer just had the water pump replaced at another shop but they failed to notice this disaster and still wondered why it was overheating. anyone else see this sorta thing? none of the rest of the cooling system seems ok and does not have any of this type of damage. The truck has about 115k on it and was running green coolant that some brilliant person that couldn't read the sticker on the degas bottle put in. Keith Browning
We did have a 7.3L with a damaged cover from a water pump that has a really loose bearing. This looks to be erosion and pitting from sand, dirt or rust.
