Bonded Linings

Back in the 90's I had many vehicles with 12" rear drum brakes that kept disintegrating along with a whole host of other brake problems. It has been a while since I have seen this but I have an ambulance here with cracked and separating linings in the rear. I used to install shoes with BONDED linings to correct this problem and it does work. I thought I was installing Motorcraft shoes but my parts dude handed me a set of Motorcraft shoes that are RIVETED. These are Motorcraft BR101 XU2Z-2V200-ABARM

The vehicle is a 1998 E350 RV Cutaway, Diesel, 4X2 Ambulance Dual Rear Wheel with 12X3.5" rear drum brakes. Any advice appreciated... looking for BONDED linings.

Keith I'm looking at the listing right now. The BR101's will work but they are listed only for 1990-1993,1994 on up it is listing the F4TZ.2200.A and are bonded. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif

Thanx Larry. I has my parts dude call Ford after my experience with the HotLine went sour. I described the problem and thier responce was to block off all of the brake hoses and check for a spongy pedal... I told them is was a lining issue! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/boink3.gif I guess they are used to guys that have no clue?

Ford gave us the same number and confirmed that they are bonded.
