Steve Mutter
just got a 1996 1.9L for cheap, but this thing is losing coolant, have to put about 1.5L everyother day,it looks like the oil level is going up but I am not 100%,where do these things leak from,in the cylinder head? I don't see anything leaking on the ground,

jaysonfordtech
Head gasket and/or cracked cyl. head. Also look out for the valve seat dropping out of the head, it was a problem with some of the 1.9's. I've not seen much in the way of block problems, but you are adding a bunch of coolant so nothing is out of the question here.
