snw blue by you Posted December 31, 2007 Share Posted December 31, 2007 A couple of pics of the tool I made to hold the front body nuts (position 1) For those that have removed cabs and had these 2 spin, you already know this is one of the most ill concieved designs of all time, ranks up there with drilling holes in Taurus floorboards. It is possibly one of the dumbest things I've seen. Anyways it is nothing more than an old 7/8" wrench modified to fit through the slot and can be hammered in if need be. It makes an incredibly stupid job quick and painless. Hope this helps and I highly recomend you have this at the ready when you remove that '08 cab. I ended up spot welding the damn nuts to the body. I haven't had a single one loosen since I began heating the bolts prior to removing them... but I have only done two 2008 trucks.
