A look at how dangerous our jobs are
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Tony302600's topic in The Water Cooler
Yeah Dwayne what is the barley/hops of choice. I think you are a Molson guy. Or maybe a Blue guy.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif WHAT IS IT ??? -
The price dropped a few months ago but I think most dealers/the smart ones kept the price the same, in order to make some good coin. I wasn't one of them I priced it correctly. Now that it's out their all screwed sorry to be them. I thought I posted something about this a while ago when I seen the part # go from a F7TZ-12K073-A to a F7TZ-12K073-B and a dramatic drop in price. The new part looks different but looks more beefy. I have about a dozen on the shelf be prepared for a b/o on these. If it does go b/o call me or p/m I'll be glad to help. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif I have been waiting for this to come for some time as well as most of us has /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif As for Keith I don't know "sorry" it doesn't happen very often on a different color but maybe that is the improved IH version. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif

Orifice bleed hose?
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to eastendpowerstroke's topic in General Diesel Engines
Yep me I've got all this stuff and more, all you have to do is call... I helped Keith out with the delivery valve that is not a available service part. We are a full blown Stanadyne,Bosch,etc...factory service center most of the Turbo and Diesel shops you deal with order the injectors, pumps and etc from us. The kit you are refering to is pretty simple it is available in either the 6.9 of 7.3 and comes with the hose, clamps, plastic tees, injector orings and copper seals. Sells over the counter for about $28.00 plus the gov. share. -
I've seen so many different oem's over the years and it still amazes me as to some of the procedures that they require to do the job... How about Cat wants new injector hold down bolts for injector replacement on some of the engines but not on all of them. Detroit wants you to replace Series 60 head bolts replaced with a head gasket job. And so on... But what really makes me wonder if this is all a after thought, is if this is really necessary then WHY WOULDN'T THEY INCLUDE THESE PARTS WITH THE INJECTORS,HEAD SETS AND ETC.... along with the proper torque specs to assist the techs in doing the job the correct way. Boy oh boy if you don't put the Series 60 head bolts in with a head gasket job and it turns out to be a comeback(sorry for the 4 letter word)Do you think that Mother Detroit Diesel will cover it or kick it back???? Yeah I agree that we all come up with easier ways of doing things, but it sure would be nice if the OEM's would help us out too. Instead of having to do things repeatedly to fix a concern that they already have known as a problem. how many of us has been on line with,(I use the term loosely)TECHLINE and had them send you around in circles only to find out that you knew what it needed to begin with??? I really believe that all of our oem's should listen to the FIELD about what needs to be done to fix the engineering problems a little closer. That's just my 2 cents, doesn't mean much but I'm tired of having srt's cut and you guy's getting screwed trying to make a living, which also includes any indy's out here. And now fellas I'm going upstairs and have shot of Crown and a Bud...

02 f-450 starts then stalls
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to kevin phillips's topic in 7.3L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Just kind of a stupid question, but when was the oil changed last? I had one not long ago that had a extended interval on a p/m and was the problem. It could be more but it helps if you know about the basics first. I'm just a parts guy but I am willing to help however I can. -
6.4 Cutaway Pictures
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Bruce Amacker's topic in 6.4L Power Stroke® Diesel Engines
Bruce the pictures that you have loaded are awesome!!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif Anybody else out there may want to print these and give them to your back counter parts guy's. It may be helpful if the parts guys know where a lot of the parts are located, and make techs lives a little easier. I really like the way some of the parts are tagged with names of what they are. -
no in chassis motor work allowed
LARRY BRUDZYNSKI replied to Brad Clayton's topic in All Gasoline Engines
Jim I can't say that I would want to be in your shoes other than I can feel your pain,(rather your pleasure). I have had the same types of problems come up in front of me, my other parts mongers that I work with just try to order any parts they can in stead of asking for help. For anybody that logs on our Forum here at DTS /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif... ALL I ASK IS THAT THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK. I WOULD RATHER HAVE TO ANSWER THEM NUMEROUS TIMES THAN TO HAVE TO FIX THEM MY SELF -
Does anybody know what the wheels and shafts of these turbos are made out of? I ask the question because I have a source threw Garrett for Titanium wheels. I don't know if this will help us all out or not but figured I would ask. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif Maybe it would help out on lot rot repairs.

GEE I DON'T WANT TO SOUND LIKE A GLOATER BUT I THOUGHT I SAID TO ORDER THE ORIGINAL NUTS TO BEGIN WITH The original nut works just fine. But I'm glad everybody see's what I said.
-
Jim not to sound like a prick or anything...Don't you have a personal life, your going into work on a Sunday, you chirp in on your vacation... Man I thought I had a Diesel Tattoo on my ass, but you make me seem small... Don't take this as me bitchin but come on enjoy some of you life, take a walk, go out on the boat, do something. Or better yet, kick the cat, pet the dog, and KISS THE WIFE /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gifOh Yeah If you need any help with the Hyundai I got you covered, just hollar.
-
If we all think about it... Most of the cars being sold now a days are leased and most have road service agreements attached to the lease. I got one with my Dakota, haven't had a problem yet,(knock on wood), but it's nice to know that I have it. I'm getting to lazy with my own vehicles to have to mess around with that crap.

A rock glass full of Crown and about a dozen beers, recipe for success!!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

I haven't been here long enough, but when I was at the Ford dealer we had waste oil heaters. They were always blazing out heat, the dealer didn't have to pay for waste oil pickup as often and were saving money.

They definitely have a problem with the TSB, as for the application the parts list shows the same #'s for the stabilizers as the TSB does.
-
Hmmm... 22 Years at the same shop... They must be getting ready to hoist the sign up... "KEITH BROWNING FORD" Got any job openings???
-
Keith I remember having a issue with that one. Try having your parts guy look it up by application, I think that's how we got the correct nut.
-
Just kidding Jim. Anybody that can stay in this business as long as you have and not gone totally insane, has got my respect and appreciation. I don't think I will be able to do that, but I guess my almost 28 years is some sort of accomplishment. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/notworthy.gif
