  1. I know this is an older thread but, I figured I would give an update to what I found. I replaced the turbo and still same concern. checked for any leaks and found none. I found the fuel pressure was dropping but I wasnt getting a code. So after checking injectors and found a couple that had excessive return still the same problem. removed cp4 disaster prevention kit and vehicle would not start. replaced high pressure pump and now vehicle is fixed. there seems to be enough fuel fed through the VCV hole on the disaster kit to allow vehicle to still run. There was no signs of metal from pump in the system.

  3. Anyone have any issues with high pressure fuel dropping under load and not setting a code? FRP desired is 15000 and FRP showing 5000, truck lacks power but does not shut off. no codes, low pressure fuel good, vcv and pcv have been replaced.
  4. I read that a couple months ago and it sounds like the turbo is the culprit, but I was trying to determine if it fixed anything? From what I have seen with the turbos on the 67 is they are either good or bad, not really in-betweeen?
  5. I know this is an older thread, but did it ever get resolved/ root cause?Im working on a 17 450 that has melted the intake manifold like this. I replaced intake manifold and when driving it sounds like it still has boost pressure escaping. it will build 35 psi but truck is sluggish. anything over 28 pounds you can hear air noise. the truck has no emissions present. I have pressure tested with air the intake to 30 lbs and cant hear any leaks. I dont see any soot around any of the exhaust indicating a leak. I am not sure if the turbo is leaking internally? Or could one of the flexpipes be broken causing this?
  6. have a 2011 f250 97000 miles keeps throwing p1206, will run ok then get on it hard when taking off and it will kill the whole bank of injectors 1,4,6,7 and have a code for injector 6 continuos memory. cut the key off and restart it will run fine. koer test it will pass even when the whole bank of injectors is shut down. is the pcm a possible cause? I have replaced the injector and overlayed the wiring. relative compression also shows good.
  7. What's causing all these 6.7 bearing failures? I have stacked up about 5 of them now all with different mileage ranges and all from 250-650.
  8. good question it was still trying to build 40 lbs of boost once i get it off i will be able to see the backside better maybe that will have some answers
  9. after driving it again in the back lot low oil pressure light came on, checked the oil was missing 8 quarts. added the oil and checked it again found the turbo shaft broken. thanks for the help.
  10. 2018 f450 throwing code p1548. replaced air filter it wasnt that dirty. pinpoint test KA syas turbo checks out ok, first drive of the day will happen everytime gauge on dash reading 40 psi but truck is clearly not moving like it is getting 40 psi of boost. could the egr throttle plate be sticking causing my concern? anyone have any experience with this ?
