  1. has anyone ever tried the number 8 only injector in another cylinder.if so did it run ok any problems? parts has it but not the regular one like it lists for cylinders 1 through 7 2000 7.3 liter f250
  2. put in a test pipe helped the truck a bunch customer decided to try and hasen't returned
  3. changed the icp sensor and connector no help,going to yank the intake and pump cover and exzamine the pump the base oil fills the housing for the filter in about 5 seconds i don't have the fittings to check exact pressure .I feel sure it's probably in the high pressure side of the system now it may be the piece blown out in the pump mentioned above thanks for the help i will post the fix when i find out for sure
  4. have a 03 6.0 lack of power when accelerating only showing 800 psi of oil pressure on icp pid during light accel sometimes it goes to 1600 psi, boost is 25 psi this vehicle came in a no start and i found the ipr valve blown out screen came off and o ring blew out screen was not full of metal or debris just came off end fuel pressure is ok and it keeps coding p2290 lack of icp pressure i air checked while down,no leaks any ideas or been there done that stories thanks for the help
  5. It was diffront,but it seemed to work ok, i diddn't try to go back and reflash again but it said it took it guess we will see i did 4 today

DOING MY FIST AMBULANCE HEAD JOB, WILL THE PASSENGER HEAD COME OUT WITHOUT PULLING HEATER BOX?SOMEONE MADE A REAL MESS OF THE WIRING ON THAT SIDE AND IT HAS REAR HEAT AND AIR ADD ON.PULLING THE CAB IS OUT OF THE QUESTION WITH THE LIFT I HAVE. ANY IDEA'S AND SUGGESTIONS? I KNOW U GUYS HAVE BEEN THERE. WE ARE A SMALL DEALER AND DON'T DO ALOT OF THIS KIND OF STUFF.I THOUGHT I MIGHT COULD TAKE THE ROCKERBOX OFF AND DO IT BUT DON'T KNOW THANKS,
  7. the turbo was replaced because it came apart in center and rubbed housing but not severe damage to turbine ,oil is new,it has some light smoke from oil cap but not huffing and passes crankcase test won't move the guage i think the exhaust is restricted will drop pipe monday thanks for the info i'm still learning the procedures
  8. thanks for the info,i have a hard time sometimes with the diagnosis i can't keep all that pid data straight i will try recording though now and see if it helps
  9. have a 99 f550 7.3 liter came in was building 1 to 2 psi mgp replaced turbo no help replaced map sensor now i have 5 to 6 psi of boost still needs more .map baro and ebp all within .5 of each other koeo any idea's i'm stuck ebp at wot in park will go to 39 psi,is that enough to cause not enough boost thanks for any help in advance,kevin
  10. dual mass was damaged replaced with conventional flywheel problem solved
  11. thanks guys will tear into it monday ordered bolts and complete clutch kit and flywheel the dual mass is not available
  12. thanks guys i found the update is 350 a year i think i will add a few hundred more to that and buy a laptop i wonder if the pds was hooked up to the shops vcm if it would set a ok number in it anyone try it yet? thanks kevin
  13. anyone purchase the pds software yet i won a pds system on the pts giveaway a few years back and now it says enter code to update every time it boots up pds how much,worth it or not ?
  14. have a straight gear zf trans with a terrible shake at idle,anyone seen a dual mass flywheel on a 6.0 all the ones i've seen are not but it shakes like one touch the throttle and it goes away then comes back. any ideas it feels like a bad miss but leaves under load
  15. i checked the uvc connections no help ended up a hp oil pump concern not building enough oil pressure pressure was dropping low but why diddn't it shut down about 380
  16. got a 2001 f350 7.3 automatic with what feel s like a miss at idle and at times on the road almost like a random plug wire miss .ran buzz test and cyl contribution no codes koeo koer only codes p0478 replaced ebp sensor corrected code but diddn't help miss any ideas thanks,kevin
